The difference between Advantage and Minus

When used as nouns, advantage means any condition, circumstance, opportunity or means, particularly favorable to success, or to any desired end, whereas minus means a minus sign (−).

When used as verbs, advantage means to provide (someone) with an advantage, to give an edge to, whereas minus means to subtract.


Minus is also preposition with the meaning: without.
