The difference between Advantage and Benefit

When used as nouns, advantage means any condition, circumstance, opportunity or means, particularly favorable to success, or to any desired end, whereas benefit means an advantage.

When used as verbs, advantage means to provide (someone) with an advantage, to give an edge to, whereas benefit means to be or to provide a benefit to.
