The difference between Accompaniment and Supplement
When used as nouns, accompaniment means a part, usually performed by instruments, that gives support or adds to the background in music, or adds for ornamentation, whereas supplement means something added, especially to make up for a deficiency.
Supplement is also verb with the meaning: to provide or make a supplement to something.
